Today's Buick had a series of dents in the fender and a bunch of peeling paint (also called delaminating paint.) Since the owner had to paint the whole car, he wanted to get a little bit different red than was on the car. He saw a Honda CRX that we had just painted in a great, original Honda Red and decided he wanted to have the same color.
He had the right idea. Similar to the experience many people have when they paint their house, a color that looks great as a small sample often looks terrible on a whole house, or a whole car. We feel so bad when a customer sees their freshly painted car and says, "Wait! That's not the color I picked. It is too orange!" or "Too bright." Then we show them that it matches the sample they picked.
So Maaco recommends that customers find a car that they like the color. We can match 99% of the colors on the road with our computerized paint system. Just tell us the year, make, model & name of the color (or the manufacturer's color code if available.)
