2011 Aston Martin V12 Zagato

Featuring a new handcrafted aluminium body, the Aston Martin V12 Zagato delivers a beautiful and muscular design not probable using pre-formed panel techniques. Using the influences and skill of nearly 100 years of heritage in the craft, every aluminium panel was shaped using an English wheel and traditionally crafted body bucks. Each front wing alone comprises seven divide pieces of aluminium, combined and then hand finished to give one flowing form. The V12 Vantage which forms the basis of the V12 Zagato has been established on the race track as early as 2009 with a class win in its debut race at the 24 hour race at Nürburgring whilst being close to production standard with only necessary safety modifications, reduced weight and re-tuned suspension but no extra aerodynamic enhancements. In 2011 the car has gone on to form the basis of the new Aston Martin GT3 race car unveiled last month.

2011 Audi A1 clubsport quattro

The heart of the Audi A1 club sport quattro is a classic Audi gasoline engine – a five-cylinder unit displacing 2.5 liters with turbo charging and straight fuel injection. Compared with the version used in the Audi TT RS and RS 3 Sportback on which it is based, the output of the TFSI has been augmented dramatically to 370 kW (503 hp) and 660 Nm (486.79 lb-ft) of torque. Maximum power is obtainable between 2,500 and 5,300 rpm.

2011 Flying Lizard Porsche 911 GT3 RSR

Flying Lizard unveiled a remembrance livery for the No. 80 and No. 81 Flying Lizard Porsches for the 2011 24 Heures du Mans. Created by California-based artist Troy Lee, the livery celebrates the history of Porsche at Le Mans, featuring the 28 drivers who have won the 24 Heures du Mans overall in a Porsche. The No. 80 and No. 81 designs are the same, implemented in complementary colors: candy metallic orange for the No. 80 and candy metallic blue for the No. 81; both anchored by a deep ocean blue. Primary colors offer a backdrop for the driver names and flags which weave throughout the design on the Porsche 911 GT3 RSR.

2011 G-Power BMW M3 GTS

2012 Honda CR-Z Mugen

The CR-Z MUGEN – the higher-performance mixture coupe is a joint project between Honda (UK) and MUGEN Euro – the Northampton-based subsidiary of Honda’s long standing tuning partner MUGEN. The CR-Z MUGEN will feature enhancements to both the 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine and the Honda IMA system to boost power and torque, while bespoke brakes and suspension will be built-in to improve the chassis dynamics.

2012 Porsche Cayman S Black Edition

Under the McLaren Orange skin, the 12C GT3 shares the same 75kg carbon ‘MonoCell’ chassis as the 12C road car. Since the modern McLaren was formed in 1981, the company has used only carbon fibre for the chassis structure of all its road and race cars: it was a natural choice for the heart of the MP4-12C. Lightweight construction and manufacturing modernism through Resin Transfer Moulding was a priority for the engineers and designers responsible for the 12C’s chassis. The result is a road car that, at 1301kg, is the lightest in the ‘core’ sector of the high-performance sports car market.

Just as with the 12C road car, McLaren is working closely with specialist suppliers to deliver an innovative and lightweight car. The 3.8-litre McLaren V8 twin turbo ‘M838T’ engine supplied in the road car also features in the 12C GT3, but de-tuned to 500 PS (from 600 PS) in order to supply optimum power for this performance-balanced race car.

The new McLaren MP4-12C GT3 will feature a exclusive engine calibration, bespoke racing transmission developed in partnership with Ricardo (who also developed the engine with McLaren) and a suspension arrangement tuned specially for racing.

2012 PIECHA Design Mercedes-Benz SLK R172 Accurian RS

PIECHA Design has unveiled a new tuning programme for the new Mercedes-Benz SLK R172. And thus, they present the “Accurian RS”, a sporty, elegant understanding of the Stuttgart-based roadster. Piecha gives the new, more distinct front of the SLK an Accurian RS front spoiler lip with lateral grids. The lip can be joint with a cover, which turns the grid into a three-part piece and further emphasises the LED daytime running lights on the right and left side. For a quieter airflow around the lateral body of the new SLK, PIECHA Design installed a set of Accurian RS side skirt covers. The covers are bonded easily and positively on the original side skirts. Furthermore, the opposite installed grids provide for a more prominent design. For all R172 models, no matter whether with the side skirts, the AMG or also the Accurian RS sills, PIECHA Design offers per side four LED buried spotlights each.

2011 Novitec Alfa Romeo 8C Spider

NOVITEC has released a new performance package for Alfa Romeo 8C Spider. Power production of the Alfa Romeo 8C, Coupe and Spider, jumps to 600 hp thanks to a high-tech supercharger system. Top speed grows to 190 mph. The limited-edition sports car is based on the technology of the Maserati GT. The compressor adaptation, which sells for EUR 19,900, boosts power output of the 450-hp stock V8 by 150 hp. The maximum rated power output of 600 hp is available at 7,300 rpm. Peak torque jumps to 434 lb/ft torque at 5,400 rpm. The sprint from rest to 62 mph is abridged to just 3.9 seconds. Top speed increases from standard 180 mph to 190 mph.

While the body of the 8C Coupe or Spider remains unaffected, NOVITEC adds some thrilling highlights to the appearance of the two-seater with three-piece NA3 wheels. To further highlight the wedge-shape design of the 8C, the specialists chose a spread out combination with 21-inch diameter in front and 22 inches on the rear axle. The alloy wheels feature five double spokes and are obtainable in any desired color. In sizes 9×21” and 11.5×22” they fill out the available space in the wheel wells completely. The matching high-performance tires are complete by Formula 1 supplier Pirelli in sizes 255/30 ZR 21 and 315/25 ZR 22.
